Bacon Burger Recipe
Oberon Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa County

Pair with Oberon Cabernet Sauvignon

Serves: 6

1 lb lean ground beef
6 slices minced bacon
6 thick slices munster cheese
1 tomato thinly sliced
1/2 a head of iceburg lettuce, thinly shredded
1 avocado thinly sliced
6 Kaiser buns
10 cloves of garlic, cleaned and roasted
1 1/2 cups mayonnaise
1/4 tsp paprika

For the Seasoning

2 Tbsp dried minced onions
1 Tbsp granulated garlic
2 tsp paprika
1 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 Tbsp salt
2 tsp fresh ground black pepper
2 Tbsp Worcestershire

Bacon Burger

Mix the seasoning ingredients together and set aside.

Mash together the roasted garlic, mayonaise, and paprika. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Refrigerate for 30 minutes before using, to allow flavors to blend together

Break apart the raw ground beef and add minced bacon and seasoning blend. Divide into 6 balls of the same size. Using your hand, flatten each into a pattie and, using your thumb, press in the center of each pattie. Cover and allow to rest for 10-15 minutes.

Heat your grill, to about 350°F. Place burger patties on grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes, or when color change happens about 3/4 way up the side of the burger. Flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until desired.

Spread garlic mash onto buns and add burger, cheese, bacon, lettuce, and avocado.
